Yocean Group marked a significant milestone on 15 January 2025 when the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Hon. Opiyo Wandayi, visited the company’s manufacturing facility for the commissioning of Yocean Group’s transformers for Kenya Power. The visit highlighted Yocean Group’s role as a Kenyan manufacturer of distribution transformers and metering solutions. Since its establishment in 2016, the company has focused on innovation, technology transfer and the production of transformers and electricity meters that meet Kenya Power’s specifications and standards. The commissioning represents a step forward in strengthening Kenya’s energy infrastructure through locally manufactured, high-quality products and reinforces Yocean Group’s commitment to supporting the country’s industrialization agenda.
